Keno Tactics That Work

It may not ordinarily be looked at as the most fun game in the realm of gaming, but keno has huge amounts of keen followers. And so it should! It’s a constantly entertaining lottery-type game that’s easy to master, abundantly available in several assorted variations, and one that can return mega-dollars for people who master its limitless subtle rules. But let’s start with the basic facts here.

When defining keno to amateurs, some wagering masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least nearly correct, in that both games are generally numerical. However, to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to discount the many unique characteristics that make keno so exciting. Not like bingo, keno users have the freedom to select the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to choose as numerous (or as few) numbers as he feels they need. And it doesn’t take a keno superstar to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your handpicked numbers with a good oldpen like you used when you were a kid.

Once you’ve marked your numbers, take the card back to the clerk at the keno booth. The clerk will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) expensive bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your pretty face and would like to help out, without a winning receipt with you, you will be given precisely $.00 for your efforts.

And there you have strategy number one: always make sure to keep your keno receipt. Let us move to something a little more complex, what do you think?

After you’ve picked your numbers, settle into a nice keno booth and watch the action unfold on the video monitor. That is where the winning numbers are displayed for us. If you picked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to take your time, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get back to the keno stand to collect your winnings, and a new keno game will probably get going within a few minutes.

Strategy number 2: always get back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you do not trust yourself to beat that 5 minute margin every time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty tickets. When the max number of games (matching the number of tickets) is finished, you are then able to get off your lazy bum and go retrieve your winnings.

Another choice is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which normally lets you make number choices for 30 rounds or more. Hell, you can take all the time in the world and not have to worry about getting back in time to redeem your winnings. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

So now you have learned a few indispensable techniques for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable user, they may appear to be quite obvious. However, it will not hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a new user, every little bit of advice will help make your keno wagering more agreeable.
