It won’t generally be considered the most fun game in the realm of gambling, but keno has tons of steadfast admirers. And why not? It’s a regularly entertaining lotto-like game that’s a breeze to learn, abundantly available in a number of alternate styles, and one that will pay out millions of dollars for people who learn its limitless subtle rules. But let’s begin with the basic rules for now.

Do not misplace this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers you and wants help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will collect precisely $.00 for your winning card.

OK, so there you have strategy numero uno: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let us get on to something a bit more useful, yes?

Now that you’ve checked off your numbers, get into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action take place on a big video monitor. This is where the winning numbers are displayed in lights. If you checked winners, mark your card aptly. Sake care not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You really want to get back to the keno booth to collect your winnings, as a new keno game will most likely start within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to beat that 5 minute deadline every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the max number of games (fitting the amount of tickets) is played, you can then get off your lazy rump and go redeem your winnings.

Yet another opportunity is recognized as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually allows you make number picks for 30 keno rounds or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to fret about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!
