Keno Strategies That Are Sure To Win

It might not generally be considered the sexiest game in the world of gaming, but keno has huge amounts of devoted enthusiasts. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a routinely entertaining lotto-esque game that’s a snap to learn, abundantly available in a number of different variations, and one that might return millions of dollars for those who master its numerous subtle rules. But let’s begin with the basics for now.

When describing keno to newbies, some gaming experts compare it to lotto. This is at least to a certain extent apt, in that each game is essentially numerical. But to take that comparison too far can be to underestimate the great many unique traits that make keno so fun. Unlike bingo, keno players have the power to pick the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the player is given an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to select as many (or as few) numbers as she wants. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your picked numbers with a good oldmarker like you had when you were in grade 3.

Once you’ve checked your numbers, take your game card back to the person at the keno stand. The clerk will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t drop this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning slip with you, you will collect exactly $.00 for your winning card.

OK, so there you have strategy numero uno: always make sure to keep your keno ticket. Let’s get on to something a bit more advanced, what do you think?

Now that you’ve marked your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and see the action unfold on the big keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers show up for us. If you have winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Sake care not to dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get up to the keno booth to redeem your winnings, since a new round of keno will likely start within five minutes.

Strategy number 2: always make it back to the keno booth on time!

Since you do not trust yourself to meet that five-minute margin each and every time, you always have the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from two to 20 cards. When the maximum number of rounds (fitting the number of tickets) is played out, you will then be able to get off your numb bum and go collect your winnings.

Another option is known as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally lets you make number picks for 30 games or more. Heck, you can take vacation to France and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!

So now you have learned a couple of necessary methods for winning keno. If you are an advanced player, they might seem incredibly obvious. Still, it will not hurt to bone up on the fundamentals, and if you are a beginner keno player, every bit of information will help make your keno betting more agreeable.
