Keno was created in two hundred BC by the Chinese army leader, Cheung Leung who used this game as a way to finance his declining army. The metropolis of Cheung was at war, and after some time appeared to be facing country wide famine with the excessive decrease in supplies. Cheung Leung had to create a fast fix for the economic adversity and to produce money for his army. He, as it follows designed the game we now know as keno and it was a great success.
Keno once was well-known as the White Pigeon Game, since the winning numbers were sent out by pigeons from bigger cities to the lesser villages. The lottery ‘Keno’ was imported to the United States in the 19th century by Chinese newcomers who migrated to the United States for work. In those times, Keno used one hundred and twenty numbers.
Today, Keno is regularly enjoyed with just 80 numbers in a majority of American land based casinos along with online casinos. Keno is mainly liked today as a consequence of the relaxed nature of betting the game and the basic fact that there are no skills needed to play Keno. Despite the fact that the chances of getting a win are terrible, there is constantly the hope that you will win quite large with little gambling investment.
Keno is played with 80 numbers with 20 numbers drawn each game. Players of Keno can select from two to ten numbers and gamble on them, whatever amount they are able to. The pay out of Keno is according to the bets made and the roll out of matching numbers.
Keno has grown in universal appeal in the United States since the end of the 1800’s when the Chinese letters were replaced with , US numbers. Lotteries were not covered under the laws of wagering in Nevada State in 1931. The casinos renamed the ‘Chinese lottery’ to ‘horse race keno’ employing the idea that the numbers are horses and you are looking for your horses to come in. When a law passed that levied a tax on off track gambling, casinos swiftly altered the name to ‘Keno’.
