Keno was created in two hundred BC by the Chinese army commander, Cheung Leung who used this game as a way to finance his failing army. The metropolis of Cheung was waging a war, and after a bit of time seemed to be looking at a country wide shortage of food with the excessive drop in supplies. Cheung Leung had to create a quick fix for the financial adversity and to acquire income for his army. He, as it follows created the game we know today as keno and it was a fantastic success.

Keno used to be referred to as the White Pigeon Game, seeing as the winning numbers were delivered by pigeons from larger municipalities to the lesser villages. The lottery ‘Keno’ was imported to the US in the 19th century by Chinese migrants who headed to the States to jobs. In those times, Keno used one hundred and twenty numbers.

Today, Keno is regularly enjoyed with 80 numbers in a majority of American brick and mortar casinos along with online casinos.
