Keno is a game of pure chance and is very close to lottery games. The game was brought to the U.S. by Chinese immigrants in the nineteenth century. As with lottery games, it is a very easy to enjoy, and it is attractive as substantial fortunes are available for very small wagers. Keno is played at lounges, clubs and civic center all over the world today. Unfortunately it shares another similarity with lotto games – terrible odds.

Logically, Keno happen upon its way into online casinos as it was an easy game to create, and internet casino software owners wanted to entice the giant land based Keno players online. What was even more in the favour of online casinos was that many people were accustomed to gambling on Keno on video terminals, so the move online was less of a problem than say with 21.

So here is how you play Keno. You begin by selecting between four and 10 numbers from a total of 80 numbers. Each selection is called a "spot". In many online keno games, you can purchase different cards for the same draw, and in some games you can even pre-order for upcoming games.

Once you have submitted your choices, 20 numbered balls will "drop" into a capsule from a barrel. If enough of your spots are drawn, you win. That is all there is. You will obviously gain more, if more of your spots come up, like with lotteries.

Most internet keno games allow you to buy tickets between 5 cents and 5 dollars, and pay out in multiples of your ticket value. Jackpot winnings of up to $50,000 are not uncommon.

Simple? Yeah. So there has to be a catch? Yeah. The gambling casino advantage with Keno is thirty percent or greater, the WORST of any online casino game. The expectation of landing on a number is 0.25percent. Keno is by a long margin the worst game you might possibly play. If you want a game of speculation play slot machines.

It won’t usually be thought of as the most lucrative game in the universe of gaming, but keno has millions of zealous admirers. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a constantly exciting lotto-like game that’s simple to master, abundantly available in many alternate styles, and one that may pay out millions for people who learn its numerous subtle intricacies. But let’s begin with the basics here.

When explaining keno to newcomers, some gambling pros compare it to lotto. This is at least partly correct, in that each game is basically numerical. But to take that comparison too far would be to miscalculate the endless unique aspect that make keno so exciting. Not like bingo, keno players have the power to select the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of eighty numbers, but the player is furnished with an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as he thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a keno superstar to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your selected numbers with a standard#2 pencil like you had when you were in third grade.

Now that you’ve marked your numbers, take the card back to the girl at the keno booth. The clerk will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t drop this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your loud shirt and would like to help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will be given exactly $.00 for your efforts.

And there you have strategy numero uno: always take care to keep your keno slip. Let’s move to something a tiny bit more useful, yes?

Now that you’ve marked your numbers, get into a comfy keno booth and see the action take place on the keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers appear for us. If you’ve got winners, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to move to slowly, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get back to the keno booth to get your winnings, and a new round of keno will probably start up within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always make sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Since you can not trust yourself to make that 5 minute margin each and every time, you always have the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty tickets. When the max amount of rounds (the same as the number of tickets) is played out, you are then able to get off your numb back side and go retrieve your winnings.

Yet another alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno card, which usually allows you make number selection for 30 keno games or more. Gosh, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to worry about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" game tickets are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

So now you are aware of a few needed schemes for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable player, they may seem to be stupidly obvious. However, it won’t hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a novice keno player, every bit of direction will help make your keno betting more entertaining.

Keno is one of those games you either know about or you don’t. It’s basically deemed as a lottery in the casino. Similar to the lottery, the game is made up of numbers being drawn. The challenge is to select the numbers that will be drawn. The game of Keno can be either quick or slow based on the casino. By gambling on Keno on the web you can control the pace of the game. For me, I love live keno. You chill in a lounge, if you like, and play. Keno is a game that you don’t need to be present to enjoy and be a winner. For example, you can put in a ticket for twenty games and then head off to play another game in the casino or even your room if you are staying in the casino.

Keno Board

The game is played on a game board. The Keno game board consists of 80 numbers total – numbered 1 though eighty. The 1st forty are called the top portion and the second forty are called the bottom half.

Participating in Keno

Every game of Keno plays out in the same manner. The game starts, and twenty numbers are picked. The casino might be using the ball system. Ping pong style balls are blown up and picked, exactly like the lotto on TV. Other casinos use computers. If a number you marked is selected, that is known as a "hit." When all twenty numbers have been picked, the game ends and winning tickets are cashed-in.

There is an abundance of diversity in the game of Keno. For instance, you might select just one number, 2 numbers and so on up to twenty numbers. Normally, you have to hit a majority of your numbers to come away with something. For instance, if you select 6 numbers, you will normally need to hit three to get your cash back.

Keno Payouts

The payouts in Keno are fairly decent. The chances of getting a win will be dependent on the total numbers picked. For example, if you select two numbers, you have a six percent chance of hitting your ticket. Each casino’s Keno department has their own pay outs. If you are playing on the web, be sure you shop around for the greatest payouts first.

Keno was first played in 200 before Christ by the Chinese army leader, Cheung Leung who used keno as a financial resource for his failing forces. The city of Cheung was waging a war, and after a bit of time seemed to be looking at a national shortage of food with the excessive decrease in supplies. Cheung Leung needed to develop a rapid fix for the economic calamity and to create income for his army. He thusly created the game we now know as keno and it was a wonderful success.

Keno was referred to as the White Pigeon Game, since the winning numbers were sent out by pigeons from larger cities to the lesser villages. The lotto ‘Keno’ was imported to the US in the 1800s by Chinese immigrants who migrated to the United States for jobs. In those times, Keno used one hundred and twenty numbers.

Today, Keno is generally gambled on with eighty numbers in almost all of the US brick and mortar casinos along with internet casinos. Keno is largely liked today as a result of the relaxed nature of betting the game and the basic fact that there are no expertise needed to play Keno. Despite the fact that the odds of getting a win are horrible, there is always the possibility that you could win quite big with a tiny gaming investment.

Keno is enjoyed with 80 numbers with twenty numbers selected each round. Players of Keno can select from 2 to 10 numbers and bet on them, as much or as little as they want to. The payout of Keno is dependent on the bets made and the matching of numbers.

Keno has grown in universal appeal in the United States since the end of the 19th century when the Chinese characters were changed with more familiar, American numbers. Lottos weren’t covered under the laws of wagering in Nevada State in 1931. The casinos renamed the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ employing the concept that the numbers are horses and you want your horses to come in. When a law passed that levied a tax on off track wagering, casinos quickly altered the name to ‘Keno’.

It will not usually be seen as the funnest game in the world of betting, but keno has huge amounts of steadfast players. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a constantly entertaining lotto-style game that’s uncomplicated to pickup, abundantly available in a number of assorted styles, and one that can yield millions for those who learn its numerous subtle rules. But let’s start with the basic rules for now.

When defining keno to newcomers, some wagering pros compare it to bingo. This is at least partially apt, in that each game is fundamentally numerical. However, to take that comparison too far would be to undervalue the innumerable unique aspect that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno users have the ability to choose the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to select as numerous (or as few) numbers as he or she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a super genius to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your picked numbers with a normalmarker like you had when you were in grade 3.

Once you’ve selected your numbers, carry your keno card back to the clerk at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t lose this (potentially) expensive bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your face and wants help out, without a winning slip with you, you will win exactly $.00 for your efforts.

Ok, there you have strategy number one: always take care to keep your keno receipt. Let’s go on to something a bit more complex, ok?

Now that you’ve picked out your numbers, settle into a comfy keno booth and observe the action take place on the monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are displayed for all to see. If you marked winners, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to take too much time, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You really want to get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, since a new round of keno will likely begin within 5 minutes.

Strategy #2: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Since you do not trust yourself to make that five-minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from two to twenty cards. When the maximum number of games (matching the number of tickets) is finished, you should then get off your lazy back side and go get your winnings.

Yet another opportunity is known as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually lets you make number selection for thirty rounds or more. Golly, you can take all the time in the world and not have to worry about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

And now you are aware of a number of essential strategies for winning keno. If you are an adept user, they may appear to be very obvious. Still, it won’t hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a beginner user, every little bit of information will help make your keno playing time more entertaining.
