It may not usually be seen as the funnest game in the universe of betting, but keno has huge amounts of devoted fans. And why not? It’s a routinely entertaining lotto-type game that’s uncomplicated to play, abundantly available in tons of assorted variations, and one that might yield mega-dollars for gamblers who master its innumerable subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the basics here.

When defining keno to beginners, some betting masters compare it to lotto. This is at least nearly correct, in that both games are essentially numerical. But to take that comparison too far might be to miscalculate the good many unique traits that make keno so fun. Not like bingo, keno users have the ability to select the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is given an additional level of personal responsibility by being able to choose as many (or as few) numbers as he needs. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your handpicked numbers with a normal#2 pencil like you had when you were in school.

Now that you’ve picked your numbers, carry the game card back to the nice person at the keno stand. The person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will collect exactly $.00 for your actions.

Now there you have strategy numero uno: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let us move to something a bit more complicated, shall we?

Once you’ve marked your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and see the action happen on a monitor. This is where the winning numbers appear for us. If you selected winners, mark your card accordingly. Sake care not to dally, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You want to get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and then a new keno game will almost certainly get going within five minutes.

Strategy number two: always go back to the keno booth on time!

Since you do not trust yourself to beat that five-minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the maximum number of games (matching the number of tickets) is finished, you can then get off your numb back side and go collect your winnings.

Still another choice is known as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally allows you make number picks for 30 keno rounds or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to worry about getting back in time to collect your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

And now you have learned a couple needed methods for winning keno. If you are an accomplished player, they may seem incredibly obvious. However, it doesn’t hurt to study up on the fundamentals, and if you are a beginner user, every tiny bit of information will help make your keno playing time more captivating.
